senior pitcher Scott Grau, the Mustangs held off the Wildcats of Lake Highlands 5-4 in
a well-played and exciting 10-inning game. Senior Salman Iqbal drove in the winning

Offense
was once again the theme of the week as
Mustangs took all three district games this week, pushing their winning
streak
to six games and vaulting to second place in the district standings
with a 5-2
district record. On Tuesday, the squad pushed across 14 runs against
the
Raiders of Skyline to win 14-4. On Friday at Lake Highlands, the
Mustangs
cruised behind a 4 hit pitching performance from John McDaniel to win
8-1. On

lead, the Mustangs roared back to take the win 11-10 behind a game
winning home
run by Jordan Dallalio.
March

A nineteen hit barrage,
highlighted by two
triples from Jordan Dallalio, set the tone on Tuesday night as the
Mustangs
notched their first district win over Sunset 15-5. On Saturday, the
squad
pulled their district record even to 2-2 at Molina in an 8-5 game as
once again
the offense came through, led by Scott Grau’s first home run of the
season.
March 16th - 21st
On
Tuesday, the Mustangs saw their second
district game slip away as the Rams mounted a 7th inning comeback to
take the win 10-11 at Berkner. On Friday, the team never got on track,
losing to
Allen in a non-district match up but Creekview did take down one of
their old
6-5A foes, Flower Mound Marcus, on Saturday in another non-district
game.
March 9th - 14th
The
Mustangs opened district play by traveling
to W.T. White on Tuesday. Although the team made a strong comeback, the

opener,
13-10. The McKinney tournament scheduled for the weekend was rained out.

Taylor
Teagarden
9/10/2008
- It's
been a summer that little boys on sandlots everywhere dream about for
Creekview's own Taylor Teagarden. The two time all-state high school
catcher, NCAA champion at the University of Texas and 2005 3rd round
draft pick of the Texas Rangers was first called up to the big club to
play a couple of games as a midseason injury replacement. That same
week he was invited to play with Team USA in the Beijing Olympics and
helped Team USA bring home a bronze medal. When the Rangers roster was
expanded in September, he was called up again to the club where he has
continued to prove himself as one of the team's bright young stars.
Congratulations and well done. Good luck and hope to see many more
seasons under the Big Stadium Lights.
